Our Program

The LLC program aims to cater to children’s holistic development. Children are exposed to a wide range of experiences within different domains like the physical, cognitive, social and cultural.

The program is professionally planned according to children’s current interests and strengths, and is based on our philosophy and Te Whāriki, the New Zealand early childhood curriculum statement. We share our planning and examples of children’s learning with parents through children’s portfolios, documentation panels, notice board and informal discussions. Parents are encouraged to provide feedback and suggestions.

Children have a regular routine at the centre and are encouraged to develop independence and self-help skills. We provide nutritious meals and display the daily menu for the parents' information.

Our outside and inside areas have an extensive range of resources for children to freely explore with their senses and make choices. Some inside activities include table top games, puzzles, a variety of books from different cultures, pretend play, drama, cooking and baking, music and movement.

We have ample space outside with age appropriate equipment, creatively and aesthetically presented for children to explore individually or in groups. The outdoor environment encourages children to confidently explore physical challenges and invites them to exercise their gross –motor skills

Our program offers children opportunities and resources, backed by experienced adult support to make choices and confidently explore their environments- physical, social, natural and material. The children are encouraged to ask questions, learn by interacting with their environment, try out their ideas and take pride in their achievements.
